From compliance burden to strategic advantage. Three paths forward after Davos

Factlines Product update Company newsletter January 2026

Notes from the CEO | Henrik Halvorsen | January 2026

Two weeks ago, the World Economic Forum in Davos marked a turning point: supply chain resilience has shifted from a cyclical shock to a permanent structural condition. Our timing could not be better. The Factlines–Position Green integration launches just as global leaders recognize that supplier due diligence is not only about compliance; it is a strategic advantage.

The discussions in Davos also highlighted a critical execution gap: many companies report on sustainability, but concrete remediation and meaningful stakeholder engagement remain insufficient. Already today, but also in the period ahead, our unified Position Green assessment solution will be designed to close this gap; moving beyond documentation to tools that drive genuine supply chain improvement and resilience through more effective automation and intelligence.

Moving forward, we see three types of companies emerging. Those that treat ESG as a compliance burden, those that use it to gain a competitive edge, and those that embed it into their core operations. We are convinced the third group will win.

Position Act 2026, which is also open to all Factlines customers, brings these leaders together to share what works in practice. If you want to learn more about the event in may, follow the link to the program in this newsletter, and explore the webinars now available to you on Positiongreen.com.

Finally, if you have questions, or would like a closer introduction to what we as Position Green can offer within e.g. sustainability reporting, SBTi and target setting, carbon accounting and decarbonisation, or simply want to discuss how to structure your sustainability work post the EU omnibus, please get in touch via our contact form or by contacting your customer contact at Factlines.
