Factlines values data privacy highly as a fundamental human right. Factlines believes it is important to protect your privacy as a user or visitors of our products. We are committed to giving you a service that meets your need for privacy and protects your personal information.
At the same time, this need must occasionally be balanced against the user base's desire for simple and intuitive systems, as well as legal requirements and good ESG practices. This document attempts to describe how we relate to privacy and take care of these considerations. By entering and using our platform, you consent to the storage of personal data for the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy.
In addition to what is described in this document, Factlines is also a data processor for information registered in our Factlines Platform - this is regulated through the Terms of Service with the associated DPA, Data Processor Agreement.

Usage | Explanation |
---|---|
Account Set Up and Administration | When you create a user on the Factlines Platform, you will provide us with basic Personal Information, such as your name, phone number (optional), email address, well as creating a username and password. We use the Personal Information to verify your identity and connection to your company, make available to you information about your suppliers and network, you purchases and payments, and to make it easier for you to control and administrate your purchases and use of our Platform. Processing your Personal Information for this purpose is necessary for the performance of our Platform. |

The Personal Information will also help with solving any delivery issues and other issues related to the usage of Factlines Platform. Processing your Personal Information for this purpose is necessary for the performance of our Platform. |
Marketing | We may use Personal Information to deliver marketing and event communications to you across various platforms, such as email, telephone, text messaging, direct mail and online (including through the Factlines Platform). Personal Information is used to enable Factlines to provide you with the service that you have required, for example, answering a question that you have filled into a form or sending you a white paper, emails such as newsletters, and invites for seminars/webinars. The advertising platforms will use personal data where applicable - read more about how Google uses information from sites like us on Google's Privacy & Terms page: (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) |
Product Improvements | Information is used so that we can analyze user patterns. We can then, for example, see how many people use a certain function in Factlines and how long they do so. That way, we can see both which functions are useful, but also which functions seem to be used for a long time and which we should therefore simplify. We can only see activity at group level and not what each individual user has done. This processing is necessary to serve our legitimate interest. |
Security, Safety and Dispute Resolution | We use Personal Information to protect the security and safety of our Factlines Platform and our users, to detect and prevent fraud, to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. This processing is necessary to serve our legitimate interest. |

Customer Support | We use Personal Information to respond to your enquiries, diagnose product problems, repair your Factlines Platform services and provide other customer care and support services. When you are contacting our support group for assistance with the Factlines Platform, we may collect contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, social media identifiers (if you contact us using a social media channel), and the content of your chats and other communications with Factlines Customer Success. We collect this information to give you the best and most efficient customer support possible. This processing is necessary for the performance of the agreement we have with you, as well as to serve our legitimate interest. |
