Factlines and Captiva partner to simplify EU Taxonomy reporting for renewable energy producers

Factlines Capitiva

Factlines and Captiva have entered a partnership to simplify EU Taxonomy reporting for energy producers in the water, wind, and solar sectors. Combining Captiva's expertise in renewable energy advisory with Factlines' SRM and Taxonomy software, the collaboration provides the power industry with smarter tools and updated regulatory content for efficient sustainability reporting.

A stronger solution for renewable energy reporting

Simplified EU Taxonomy reporting for the renewables sector

Factlines, known for its self-service ESG solutions in supply chain and taxonomy, is now taking over Captiva's taxonomy solution, Rexonomy. This integration offers renewable energy producers continuous access to updated regulatory content, extended guidance, and templates for statutory reporting. Captiva will continue to offer advisory support where needed to ensure smooth self-assessment and reporting processes.

The agreement also means that Vardar and the full Cloudberry portfolio of 35 power plants will transition to using the Factlines platform going forward.

Supporting power companies with technical ESG criteria

"Conducting a full taxonomy assessment for power companies is a technically demanding task. The combination of good guidance, process tools, and smart software that simplifies data acquisition, financial calculations, and reporting will be invaluable to our power customers," says Magnus Hagebø, Asset Manager at Captiva.

Enhanced precision and usability for self-service ESG reporting

"Expanding Factlines' ESG platform with even more sector-specific and detailed content makes our self-service solutions even more precise and user-friendly.
The regulatory landscape for the energy sector is constantly changing. Our updated software will manage all relevant technical ESG criteria and enable interaction and reporting at project and subsidiary level, creating great value for energy companies," says Henrik Halvorsen, CEO of Factlines.

Practical benefits already proven by Cloudberry

"Cloudberry has used this tool to document and verify that all our power plants meet the requirements of the taxonomy. Good digital systems are essential to streamline and secure reporting, and the collaboration with Factlines will further increase the usefulness and value for us," says Ingrid Bjørdal, Chief Sustainability Officer at Cloudberry.
